Day 0
12.10.2022 ( Wednesday )
The previous day before starting my trip. This has been a long time dream of doing the ride and finally is coming to fruition. Compiling the pictures of my bike with the panniers. The second picture is the image of all the things I will be packing for my trip. The third picture is the image of the bike after having the stickers pasted in the bike. ( Warning: Try to use a very strong gum with vinyl stickers. Two reflective stickers and one vinyl sticker flew away during my ride )
Day 1
13.10.2022 ( Thursday )
Finally the day has come to start the trip. After getting up early and packing things up in the panniers the trip was ready to go. With my parents doing all the rituals and getting blessings from my parents. The trip started successfully without any hiccups. First stop is Ambur to meet my hostel buddy Tharun. The trip was good a 180Km ride. Did take a small break for every one hour, the helmet with weighed almost 2Kg was very heavy. This kind of induced pain in my necks and with the all the new riding jacket which was new to me was a little uncomfortable but was still manageable. Finally met Tharun in his home in the afternoon. After taking some rest and finished some work. Had a good nap and planned to leave Ambur tomorrow to go to Chennai next.
Day 2
14.10.2022 ( Friday )
So first thing is first never have a head massage before the travel. I got cold and headache from the head massage from the salon. I had severe muscle pain and fatigue after the first ride. So taking rest really helped me. I will be mostly riding in Tami Nadu for the next two to three weeks so that my body gets apt for the upcoming bike rides. So packed my things in the afternoon and got ready to travel to Chennai. Took a selfie with Tharun (He will be married next month and I will be missing his marriage function) . Continued my ride in the afternoon to Chennai. I had to go to Chennai because I am conducting an event there so need to go there and take rest. Before reaching Dinesh house I collected my riding pant from Motowear shop. Then crashed to Dinesh's apartment room (He was not there but his room mate greeted me). The apartment owner had some issues with my bike as it was large, had to give him my spare keys so that he can let me keep my bike here or I would have to park it the near metro parking. Slept early so that I can be ready tomorrow for the presentation.
Day 3
15.10.2022 ( Saturday )
Got up early and got ready for the event. The event was about Network State: How to start new countries. I have been fascinated by the concept that I have my lifetime goal based on this to create a community center. So around 25 people registered for the event but I had 8 people come in, for which I was happy and grateful. Spent around 3500 rupees for the space which I think is not worth it. Have to come up with a different playbook for conducting events or meetups. After the event, Lokesh, Kamlesh, myself and Gaitin went for a lunch. ( Totally recommend going to lunch after the event with the attendees loved it) After the event roamed a bit for little purchases for the bike and ended up seeing an amazing rainbow which happened to be raining only in a particular spot. ( Pic attached ) Also had my reflective stickers done, I can't stress this enough. Please use 3M reflective stickers, it is totally worth it. The other one which I had flew away when I was riding from Salem to Ambur. After getting the stickers went ahead to the room and slept like a baby.
Day 4
16.10.2022 ( Sunday )
Got up at 11 and was feeling really tired and lazy. There was an event from sharedeum today but skipped it. Instead took a long nap and rest. I totally forgot to purchase seasonings for my popcorn. Had Chicken briyani in the afternoon which room mate Dass bought me. A very good guy :) Around afternoon the terrace was open and immersed myself in a little photography experiment. The apartment was located in Alandur which was very near to the airport and every couple of minutes I can hear the aircrafts swooshing in and out of the airport. It was a very clear and sunny day as well. :) Took a couple of pictures and videos. The day went by and got my spare keys from the owner as I will be heading to Neyveli tomorrow morning to meet my friend Abishek.
Day 5
17.10.2022 ( Monday )
Woke up early and met Dinesh my friend who went to home for some personal work. Started dribbling but went ahead and the rain cleared away. My muscles in the shoulder behind the neck started paining more during the ride, I think the muscles can't handle the sudden increase in helmet weight and also I need to stabilize my head while riding the bike where the wind pressure adds up more stress. I reached his home around 11 AM. So went to RE Showroom (Royal Enfield) to clean and polish my bike. Another reason for coming to Neyveli was also to take photoshoot which I can use for any future events. Also witnessed some beautiful cloud formations. (Attached image with noodles head of my friend). Also played Badminton after two years, I was drenched in sweat. After playing took a bath and slept soundly.
Day 6
18.10.2022 ( Tuesday )
Waking up to pain in my left foot which I got hurt yesterday as I was playing bare feet and muscle pain as I played suddenly yesterday. Anyways kickstarted the day and we went to the shoot and took pictures. Couldn't ask for more and everything came great. Check out his Instagram profile. After the shoot had some Ice cream from Ruku Ruku shop in Neyveli Township (Local Ice cream brand) and some rosemilk. Later that evening again played Badminton with muscle pain. My friend abhishek was sneaky in luring me in and then making a situation where I had to play. The muscle pain grew and also got bruise in my hand. After that we visited a physio doctor and got consultation. While looking into the pics asked abi to take shoot tomorrow too. Suprisingly he accepted it.
Day 7
19.10.2022 ( Wednesday)
I can feel more muscle pain today than yesterday, I knew it will vanish once I stop playing. So didn't go today. Also we went again and took some more shots which looked great too. Also took B-Roll Video shots which I can use later in the videos (Hopefully).
We had to take a selfie because, we took one 9 years ago when I visited his home for the first time. Also tomorrow I will be leaving Neyveli Tanjore to see my other friend whom I haven't see long time and then to Kallakudi. Then I remembered I had yooperlites but the torch did not work due to unavailable batteries. So we headed out around 9pm to try our luck and found one. Then played with them in the room to see how tidy the room was. Hehe.
